I hope you all are doing well. I typically do not make this type of request- but wanted to let you know of the opportunity to either participate or support someone in this event.

I will be joining with hundreds of people to walk 18 miles through the night in the Out of the Darkness Overnight to benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. The walk will be held on April 25th in Dallas, TX.

I will be walking as a member of Logos Counseling and my personal fundraising goal is $1,000.00. I would appreciate any support that you give me for this worthwhile cause, whether it is $1, $5, or $500, every little bit helps.

As a mental health professional I work with people struggling with suicidal thoughts, attempts, and even family members who have lost a loved one on a daily basis. I specialize in working with those self harm, and while self harm is not a suicide attempt, they are often co-occuring.

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention is at the forefront of research, education and prevention initiatives designed to reduce loss of life from suicide. With more than 30,000 lives lost each year in the U.S. and over one million worldwide, the importance of AFSP’s mission has never been greater, nor our work more urgent.

I hope you will consider supporting my participation in this event. Any contribution will help the work of AFSP. Checks should be made payable to AFSP and are 100% tax deductible. You can also just follow the link below at the bottom of the email to make a donation electronically.

Thank you for considering this request for your support. If you have any questions about the Out of the Darkness Overnight or AFSP do not hesitate to contact me.

Please visit my Overnight fundraising page if you would like to donate online or see how close I am to reaching my personal goal: Support My Walk for Suicide Prevention

Thanks so much! And be well!
